Brad Westermann Named Vice President, West Coast Sales for Channel One Network

We are pleased to inform you that The Cheyenne Group has completed the search for the Vice President, West Coast Sales for Channel One Network. Brad Westermann is the successful candidate. As of September 18, 2006, he will assume the position with responsibility for developing business among Channel One Network’s new West Coast clients, as well as strengthening existing account penetration. Reporting to Ellen Flahive, EVP Sales, and working with the network’s sales team, Brad will sell advertising and create promotional marketing opportunities targeting key advertisers that are seeking to reach the teen market. Brad is an accomplished sales executive with over twenty years of experience in the cable TV market. His career started at the media agency level working for prestigious firms such as Ted Bates and Saatchi & Saatchi, and developed through increasingly senior ad sales roles at CNN and A&E. Most recently, Brad was SVP National Ad Sales for Court TV.

 

Judy L. Harris Appointed President & Chief Executive Officer of Channel One Network

We are pleased to inform you that The Cheyenne Group has completed an important search for Channel One Network. Judy L. Harris was recently appointed as President & CEO of this leading targeted media company which is part of Primedia Inc. Channel One Network broadcasts its programming to 12,000 American Middle, Junior and High schools, in more than 350,000 classrooms throughout the U.S. Judy will succeed James Ritts who has successfully been at the helm of the network for several years and has recently announced his intention to step down in order to dedicate himself full-time to his personal interests. Besides continuing in Jim Ritts’ footsteps and maintaining Channel One Network’s leading position in its market, Judy will be responsible for maximizing revenues by creating new business strategies required to expand the company and diversify its business model. Judy joins Channel One from PBS, where she held the position of Executive Vice President, Business Development. In this role, for the last four years, she focused on aggressive content development activities, particularly for the educational market, as well as on creative deal making that brought significant new sponsorship revenues to the company. Judy’s career includes a two-year tenure at Discovery Communications as the General Manager of their Consumer & Educational Products, as well as 16 years with Brinney & Smith, a $700 million business owned by Crayola Corporation. During her time at Crayola, she rose through the ranks from Product Manager to Vice President and became the first female Corporate Officer in the company’s history.
