Jimmy Weir Named Chief Financial Officer for Egmont UK Ltd.

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our confidential search for the Chief Financial Officer at Egmont UK.
Jimmy Weir will join Egmont as CFO, reporting to Rob McMenemy, Egmont UK’s Senior Vice President and Managing Director. Jimmy will have responsibility for managing all of the financial elements of the company’s strategy and growth, as well as day to day operations. “We’re delighted to have recruited someone of Jimmy’s stature and experience,” McMenemy said.
Previously, Jimmy was the Director of Finance Operations at EMAP, since 2006 and prior to that was Finance Director of EMAP Consumer Media for several years. Before that, Jimmy was with Euromoney Institutional Investor, E-Kingfisher, and Carrefour. He also spent seven years at Jardine Matheson in several Finance Director roles in Tokyo and Hong Kong. During his early career, Jimmy spent several years at Price Waterhouse in Audit.
