Rich Swartz Appointed Vice President, Research and Product Development at Riverside

I am very pleased to announce the great news that Rich Swartz has accepted the position of Vice President, Research and Product Development at Riverside. In this role, Rich will oversee the Research, Custom Development, and Educational/Clinical Product Development Departments.  Rich brings great breadth and depth of experience in assessment development and the management of teams of research and development staff to successfully bring new products to market. Rich comes to us from ETS, where he has held several key positions, including Senior Development Leader in the R&D Division, where he had responsibilities for transforming research innovations into breakthrough learning and assessment technologies. Rich also served as the President of ETS Technologies, Inc., and led this for-profit ETS subsidiary in successful efforts to commercialize ETS online learning and assessment technologies. Rich has Houghton-Mifflin connections in his experience as well. In the late 1990s, he was the Product Manager, Higher Education at Computer Adaptive Technologies (CAT; now Promissor), and in the late 1980s he was a Supervising Editor at Riverside, working on the Iowa Tests and the Gates-McGinitie Reading Tests.
