We are pleased to advise you of the successful completion of our search for the new leader of Home Planners LLC, the consumer division of Hanley-Wood and leading provider of home plan magazines, books, and special interest publications in the consumer shelter category. Jayne Fenton is the successful candidate and will join the company this month as President. Jayne is a talented senior executive experienced in operations, marketing, finance, systems, R&D, product development, manufacturing, and distribution culminating in full general management experience in the fields of publishing, consumer packaged goods, online, and software. Recruited into Rand McNally in the 1990’s to create a market-driven culture and improve profitability, Jayne served as VP and General Manager of their $140 million publishing and software business. Most recently, Jayne brought seasoned leadership to the entrepreneurial start-up Newfront Productions, the leading mystery genre entertainment network on the web. In her new position, Jayne will assume full accountability for the day-to-day general management of the Home Planners’ operation and provide strategic direction vital to the company’s future growth. Home Planners publishes home plan books and magazines under Hearst and Hachette titles, Hearst Special Interest Publications, and eplans, on online guide to home building. With circulation over 6 million and 2 out of 3 plan magazines on the newsstand being published by Home Planners, the company is already one of the leading information providers in the consumer shelter category and is in a position to dominate the field. Jayne will play a central role in building Home Planners’ mission, goals and plans for the future.
