Michaelanne (Mike) Discepolo, a consultant with The Cheyenne Group, is a highly regarded, senior human resources executive, who has spent the majority of her career in content driven businesses. Her knowledge and expertise span virtually every content platform in publishing (consumer and business to business), broadcasting, film, books, newspapers, and more recently the digital domain and emerging new markets.
Mike joins the Cheyenne Group from Primedia, a major media company, where she held the role of Executive Vice President, Human Resources. She was a Board of Directors elected Corporate Officer since 1993, a position she held through the end of 2007. Throughout her career, Mike developed the compensation plans, corporate benefits, and oversaw Human Resource due diligence teams on 165 corporate acquisitions and 80 divestitures.
Based on her experience in managing a full human resources function where she oversaw all executive recruiting, Mike brings a unique, client-focused perspective to executive search. She has significant hands on experience in recruitment across all levels of an organization and across all function areas, including General Management, Editorial/Content, Publishing, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Technology, Investor Relations and Legal.
Prior to Primedia, Mike worked at Macmillan, Inc. for ten years in a variety of management roles.
Mike holds an MBA from Adelphi University with a focus in Finance, as well as a BA in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
